Isn’t that what wagering is all about. You are constantly hopeful that you simply can have some thing for practically nothing, or at least very little. Don’t you keep in mind what your mother told you? You cannot obtain anything for nothing. That is what my mom told me, and I have found out since then that she was completely right. I believe Wilson Mizner stated it finest, when he stated, "Gambling: The sure way of obtaining nothing for something." Truly, at the end of the day, that’s it…..correct?

In the great state of Montana they have these great small products, known as keno machines. These keno equipments are everywhere, and the places that these products reside are known as "betting houses". I place gambling houses is quotes because they are not gambling establishments like you think of casinos. You’ll find no table game or slot machine products, just video poker and keno machines. In any case, I managed to have myself roped in to the dream of winning a couple hundred dollars in a sitting. The next point I knew I was going back to these devices practically daily. After a few months of this I recognized that no one actually wins. Oh sure, you might win $50 here and there, but over the a period of time your just feeding the products five dollar bills like they were candy.

I was able to look at myself and I do not even go into the "gambling dens" any more. I’ve met people who truthfully nearly lost everything they have betting the ridiculous keno machines. The thing that gets me about this type of wagering is the fact that casinos will advertise for the radio that they’ve an eighty-five per-cent payback rate. This would be the rate because it is mandated by law. A 85 percent payback rate sounds great, but when you think about it this merely means that in the event you place one dollar into the machines it gives eighty five pennies back . This really is how it works. Just consider of it as a reverse ATM. When I started thinking of betting in these terms, I stopped.

I suppose that’s my target with this article. To get you to realize that you simply truly can’t win, no matter what other men and women tell you. As Doc Holiday mentioned in Tombstone, "The odds are all on the house." That and only that could be the only reason there is even a place on this planet known as Vegas. Because the odds are all about the casino.
